What will I be doing as an Infrastructure Cloud Architect at Coles?
- Design and development of cost-effective, fit-for-purpose solutions and supporting business cases for all IT infrastructure investment proposals
- Responsible for IT infrastructure architecture for projects and assignments:
- Identification and resolution of technical issues, including any infrastructure Key Design Decisions
- Leverage infrastructure patterns to minimise cost and maximise value
- business case input through establishment of estimates for infrastructure project deliverables
- Provide cloud architecture leadership, including planning and governance, to enable the effective planning, implementation and use of cloud services
- Facilitate cloud Azure options, analysis and decision to ensure solutions are designed to meet business needs and are aligned to the cloud strategy
- IT Infrastructure strategy development working with Infrastructure departments, with alignment to Coles business direction
About you & Your skills
- Extensive IT architecture experience in a commercial environment
- Experience in developing technical infrastructure solutions in large scale, complex mix of various technologies and applications
- Experience in delivering large programs of work
- Demonstrated track record of designing cloud and on-prem solutions that support market-leading commercial and customer outcomes, meeting or exceeding conversion, revenue and profit targets
- Experience in Infrastructure Strategy and Roadmap development
- Proven capabilities in vendor, partner and stakeholder relationship management including the negotiation and management of outsource agreements and delivery to agreed service levels
- Extensive experience in an enterprise technology environment from an Infrastructure (such as networking, security, End-User computing, server, storage, backups and systems management technologies)
- Experience in Multi Cloud environment essential, experience in Azure and GCP preferred
- Experience with Kubernetes across GCP and Azure preferred
- Technical expertise, with modern technologies, including Terraform, Docker, Ansible, GitHub, Jenkins and Puppet
- Expertise in cloud IT processes and technologies covering IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
- Strong cloud architecture skills, preferably with an emphasis on Digital and Integration, designing across multiple applications or domains
