As a national team, Coles Group Team Cover engages and collaborates across the entire Coles family to minimise the impact of workplace injury and help ensure our Team Members come home safely every day. In unfortunate cases of workplace accident or injury, we seek to support our Team Members, so they can concentrate on recovering and come back to work as soon as possible.
As the Claims Support Officer you'll report to the Claims Support Officer Team Lead.
In this role you will be responsible in assisting with the effective management of claims. Within a self-insured environment it is critical that all the administration associated with claims management is handled in an efficient and effective way to enable the claims officers to focus on customer service and claim decisions.
About the role
- Establish new claims within the system
- Ensure all documentation delivered to the team is scanned and uploaded accurately to the right section of SIMS to enable decisions to be made
- Process Accounts
- Provide daily administrative support to Claims Team
- Undertake other tasks and projects as requested by the Central Operations Manager
- Previous administrative experience
- Some experience in a claims management environment desired
- Understanding of key regulatory and statutory insurance obligations
