About the team
The engine room of our business, our Central Operations team keeps us moving and delivering our services to all Australians. We empower and support our retail teams across the country, helping them deliver great experiences for our customers every single day.
In partnership with Ocado we are in the process of delivering a brand new, state-of-the-art customer fulfilment centre in NSW. Harnessing the latest technology, this site will offer a wider range to our customers and a safer, cleaner environment for our staff. As this site ramps up, we have an opportunity for an experienced Training Specialist to join the team.
About the role
In partnership with the Training Manager, you will support with the development and implementation of a detailed annual training plan, ensuring all team members are empowered through a combination of mandatory and optional training programs.This role will take a lead in the design and delivery of training and assessment of our drivers.Other ways you can make an impact include:
- work collaboratively to develop, prepare and facilitate training and assessment
- support shift leaders with their training responsibilities
- keep accurate training records and ensure site leadership are maintaining accurate records
- support with coordination and delivery of all site induction programs and ensure that all new team members are compliant with all aspects of their training
- continually monitor and update training materials, accounting for seasonal activities
- be a champion for safety on site and drive a positive culture for team members
- be a representative for people and culture on site including team engagement, recognition and reward
About you and your skills
We’re looking for someone who has a passion for coaching and developing team members, who can deliver important training materials in an engaging way. To be considered for this role,
- a certificate IV in workplace training and assessment is essential
- experience with delivering and assessing training is essential
- a strong background and experience ideally in driver training and/or Supply Chain
- experience developing training and assessment materials is essential
- demonstrated experience in delivering training and assessing to a broad audience with different learning abilities
- have a high level of time management and organisational skills with a focus on planning, ensuring key deadlines are met
- strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, being able to manage expectations of senior management
- advanced computer and facilitation skills.
