About the role
We are currently recruiting several newly created ‘Category Manager – Unique Online Range’ positions, this is an exciting time to join the Coles commercial business in delivering and integrating the Ocado program.
This position will be responsible for delivering extended range across a variety of product types and categories, to inspire our customers by identifying new suppliers and unique ranges to drive profitability.
You will identify and onboard new ranges and suppliers to deliver strategic objectives in-line with the Ocado program, ensuring the new range is unique and compliments existing categories.
This is a role that will see you working cross-functionally with eCommerce, Business Unit and Marketing teams, navigating, and influencing numerous stakeholders both internally and externally. You’ll need to be adept at building relationships, managing P&L impacts, and driving continuous improvement with a variety of suppliers.
About you and your skills
This position will suit an experienced Omni-Channel Category Manager, with experience working within a retail organisation or adjacent industry.
To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be skilled in the following:
- Preferable but not necessary: a relevant Tertiary Qualification (e.g. Business, Marketing, Finance/Commerce).
- Demonstrated experience analysing customer metrics to ensure customer offer within the category is attractive.
- Demonstrated experience building new and expanding upon existing supplier relationships, with a track record of delivering customer solutions in partnership with suppliers.
- Experience working cross-functionally, within a complex matrix organisation.
- Strong people leadership, coaching or mentoring skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
