What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Group Product Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing the end to end delivery and lifecycle of data science products within your portfolio. Through the development and execution of multiple product roadmaps you will drive a product strategy that aligns to the overall Digital and Coles vision.
Your role is a key enabler in delivering Advanced Analytics’ mission of making scientific decisions through the application of statistics and machine learning across the entire value chain of the organisation
Key responsibilities will include:
- Define strategic direction across multiple product teams, partnering with key stakeholders (HOs and managers) to ensure the backlog aligns with the business and product strategies
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify key capabilities and problems to solve
- Define objectives and key success measures for products
- Manage and prioritises features to deliver on product quarterly objectives and key commercial outcomes
- Mentor Business Analysts and utilise creative methodology to improve team culture and product processes
- Develop core positioning and messaging of products
- Monitor and evaluate product performance
Good things you’ll need
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner (or similar)
- Demonstrated success defining, embedding and evolving products
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills
- Experience working with Data Scientists and Machine Learning products
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills
- Proven ability to influence decisions and key stakeholders in order to achieve the right outcome
- Ability to set and manage changing expectations from various stakeholder groups
- Customer-focused design experience a plus
- Retail experience a plus
- Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
