As a member of the Global Technology Services (GTS) division, you will contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation. Our GTS products and services are leveraged across all Business Unit Platforms within the Bank to deliver industry-leading software including: CommBank App, Netbank, CommSee, CommSec, CommBiz and Commbank.com.au.

This role would be ideal for an experienced Systems Engineer with a proven background in AWS skills ideally in the Identity and Access management space.

The role is joining a team that focuses on delivering in their public cloud space, and will initially see you involved in a deployment of a new IDP (Identity Management Platform). The types of tasks will include a combination of project based work and BAU as well, from development and DevOps type duties, extending functionality of the platform, involvement in automation for on-boarding and providing support thereafter.

Although you will be part of the Identity Management Platform (IDP) squad, you will be part of the large Public Cloud crew within our Global Technology Services business unit!

We're interested in hearing from people who

• Have a strong learning mindset and a willingness to upskill on the Ping tech stack and on OAuth/OIDC
  
• Have proven experience with the full DevOps lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, patching and vulnerability management
  
• Willing to be included in an on call roster
  

Technical Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team

• Experience with foundational AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, Secrets Manager and other native AWS tools)
  
• Experience using Configuration as Code to manage your application configuration
  
• Experience with source control systems (Git) and with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild would be a plus)
  
• Knowledge of Python (for scripting) and/or Typescript (for AWS CDK)
  
• Understanding of REST concepts
  

While we don't expect it, any experience with these would set you up for fast success:

• Authentication and authorisation using OAuth or OIDC
  
• Ping Federate and/or Ping Directory
  
• NGINX
