This opportunity is part of our Career Comeback program within our Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) team. A paid program for experienced professionals who've taken a career break of two years or more, and are looking to return to the workforce.

Run over 12 weeks, the program is designed to provide you with the re-entry support and training you need to thrive. Upon completion of the program, those who have demonstrated their abilities and motivation to succeed may be eligible for a permanent position.

Do work that matters:

You'll be responsible for implementing solutions to provide insights on trading and sales to the wider team and business stakeholders. This role is ideal for a talented programmer with skills in Python and data-focused application development.

Here, you'll be part of a nimble team of high-performing engineers going above and beyond, to build creative solutions following consistent standards of coding practice. Leveraging our integrated financial platform that comprises a blend of open source and proprietary technology, you'll deliver impactful applications to solve our customers' most complex financial problems, including operational and platform issues.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Taken a career break of 2+ years and are interested in returning to work on a permanent basis
  
• Skills and experience in software engineering using Python
  
• Demonstrated expertise in numerical skills, along with a good understanding of financial markets
  
• An innate ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and technical leadership groups
  
• A genuine passion to learn new skills along with a positive 'Can-do' attitude would be highly desirable!
  
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Finance, Economics, Science or related field will be highly regarded
  
• Permanent Australian working rights and are Sydney based
