The CBA Technology team are responsible for world leading applications of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within the business. At CommBank we use technology to drive efficiency and timely processing, an essential component for outstanding customer service.
The Cyber Security team protects the bank and our customers from theft, losses and risk events, through effective and proactive management of cyber security, privacy and operational risk. The Cyber Intelligence team provide strategic, operational & tactical intelligence in order to enhance and focus defensive efforts to relevant threats for the Group.
Your new team:
As the Senior Manager Cyber Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in leading a motivated and highly skilled team to continue delivering world-class cyber intelligence services to the CBA Group, working across a large and complex cyber security landscape.
Your impact and contribution:
In this role you will be joining the Cyber Intelligence team, a part of the wider Cyber Resilience and Recovery function. Reporting directly to the Executive Manager of Cyber Intelligence, this role will see you manage and drive the strategic road map across a variety of initiatives, services and uplifts with a key focus on threat intelligence.
You will also provide ongoing consultative advice to key stakeholders and executive managers.
You will also:
- Define and manage the strategic roadmap across threat intelligence services and initiatives to ensure we meet stakeholder objectives.
- Support the collection, analysis and dissemination of threat activity information to ensure that the bank maintains its risk and security posture at desired levels.
- Collect, process and analyse threat data to determine TTPs, possible weaknesses, and exploitation methods in order to provide actionable cyber threat intelligence.
- Identify patterns and trends in threat intelligence TTPs and campaigns to make recommendations to cyber defence teams.
- Report on and present information on current threat landscapes to defence and leadership teams.
- Continue to strengthen relationships with stakeholders and intelligence sharing partners.
- Coordinate and provide threat research and analysis to enterprise-wide cyber defence technicians to resolve cyber defence incidents.
- Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defence infrastructure and key resources.
- Develop and lead reporting and advisory products for our stakeholders on threat landscape changes and significant events.

You have experience managing a cyber-intelligence function, while supporting the business threat intelligence initiatives, services, and uplifts.
As the Senior Manager Cyber Intelligence you will provide strategic expertise with the ability to understand complex cyber threats while managing a team and offering ongoing support to key stakeholders and executive management.
You will bring:
- Experience in a team leader role and providing technical support.
- Previous cyber intelligence experience - essential.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in writing concise and easy to understand documentation.
- Expertise in understanding and applying the intelligence lifecycle.
- Exposure to assessing technical intelligence collection and analytic products.
- Strong technical understanding of the information security threat landscape (attack vectors and tools, best practices for securing systems and networks).
- Experience in a fast-paced, operational environment.
