The Cyber Defence Operations group protects the bank and our customers from theft, loss and risk events, through effective and proactive management of cyber security, privacy and operational risk.
We provide security controls and services that are leveraged across the group. The team is responsible for the stable delivery of effective security services and continuous assurance over enterprise security controls within the Bank and across its group entities.
Your new team:
The Cyber Protective Services Group, a part of the wider Cyber Security Technology function, provides security controls and services that are utilised across the group. The team is responsible for the delivery of effective security services and continuous assurance over enterprise security controls within the bank and across its group entities
As an organisation with a large number of online applications, we need to protect ourselves from all types of online attack which are growing in frequency every day. Our role is to provide security services to our application teams using technology such as Web Application Firewalls utilising a variety of Edge Security services and solutions.
Your impact and contribution:
As the Cyber Engineer - Edge Security you will assess customer enquiries to triage incident/problem/service requests tasks. You will be part of the implementation of varies changes, project delivery, and solutions. This role will enable you to be part of the build and deliver of new solutions through automation and new ways of working.
The roles will focus on Ede Security across a variety of products including Akamai and also provides technical support, and expertise to customers - responding to customer feedback in order to drive excellence, quality and performance.
Major areas of focus include:
- Responsibility to improve application performance.
- Working on key initiatives across Edge Security tool and products. eg. Akamai.
- Offering ongoing on operations engagement and production stability.
We are interested in people who:
As the Cyber Engineer -Edge Security you will support and solve key initiatives, services and projects across the group's large cyber technology practice. You will bring some enterprise-level experience working across a large-scale cyber environment supporting Edge Security initiatives a products.
What you will need to succeed
- General understanding of Web security and Networks
- Basic knowledge of SSL, DNS
- Foundational experience working in networking and web technology
- Edge Security experience working on Akamai or similar tools highly regarded.
- Incident support and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of ITIL framework and processes - some experience in service operations, change management and problem management.
