Reporting to the Capital Structuring Chief Operating Office, our Portfolio Support team is a part of CBA's Institutional Banking & Markets Capital Structuring group that also includes Credit Portfolio Management, Private Equity, Structured Asset Finance and Securitisation.
The Portfolio Support team delivers transaction execution and ongoing compliance monitoring to the Securitisation and Credit Portfolio Management businesses, as well as performing an oversight function for the revenue generating lines of business, and providing input into risk and regulatory reporting as required.
Do Work That Matters
As a Senior Associate in the team you'll have responsibilities that will include but not be limited to;
- Providing support for a portfolio of Securitisation warehouses including transaction set-up, coordination of funding, refinances and on-going monitoring and oversight.
- Developing knowledge of transactions and understanding of legal documents to be able to create and maintain compliance templates used to validate collateral reporting and compliance.
- Supporting due diligence processes for new and existing clients and suppliers, on boarding of new clients / suppliers; ongoing monitoring of clients; supplier governance processes.
- Building stakeholder relationships with Client Solutions, Capital Markets, Credit Portfolio Management and Capital Structuring teams to support the execution of transactions.
- Booking capital market transactions, credit risk mitigation instruments and securitisation exposures including the recording of monitoring activities.
- Performing monthly monitoring processes of Securitisation and Credit Portfolio Management exposures to ensure compliance with transaction documentation.
- Support the completion of credit related requests as it relates to Securitisation and CPM exposures. This includes annual reviews and credit papers.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
- Tertiary qualifications along with 5+ years Institutional or Corporate banking experience. Securitisation experience will be viewed favourably
- The ability to analyse financial statements / financial information to derive insights
- A good understanding of institutional lending products & solutions
- Experience leading a process improvement project in a previous role would be desirable
- Sound stakeholder management skills combined with a risk management and compliance orientation and well-developed oral and written communication skills
- High energy, able to operate at pace and bring a growth mindset
