At CountdownX we are accelerating our ambition to create highly personalised, seamless and connected experiences for our customers. We’re looking for a UX Designer in our Experience Research & Design team here in Aotearoa.
The Chapter is responsible for creating beautifully crafted, engaging and highly functional/usable experiences across multiple channels and platforms, that enhance our customers’ shopping experiences and the way our brand shows up digitally.
As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for designing innovative and efficient fulfilment experiences that delight our customers and store teams as part of our Dynamic Convenience Tribe at CountdownX. This role is a key part of a cross-functional team to embed design thinking, and involve in the design experiences for our customers and store teams.

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

Work in close collaboration with Product Owners, cross-functional squads and other UX designers.

Identify and prioritise design problems and opportunities to deliver value to customers, team and maximise business value.

Design and run user research from discovery through to design testing and in-life monitoring, and translate findings into the product solution design.

Communicate the design intent to the product team and wider stakeholders to achieve buy-in for your designs
About You | Mōu
To succeed in this role you will have proven technical UX Design capabilities and an ability to foster strong relationships and have a real impact in the team, bringing your strong communication and collaborative abilities. You will see the big picture and partner across multi functions.

2 to 5 years UX, product or service design experience.

Experience working within Agile delivery teams and methodologies

Has contributed to multiple shipped products/experiences of diverse scope, with accountability for defining the approach and delivering the defined outcomes

Has designed for a multitude of platforms (web, iOS, Android, etc) and cross-channel digital-physical experiences but can be a specialist or broad designer across multiple

Experience in retail or e-commerce environments is a significant advantage
