We’re looking for a Stocktake Assistant to join our wider Finance team here in Aotearoa reporting to our Stocktake Manager.
This is a part time position with 25 contracted hours per week from Monday to Thursday with some regional travel required and the opportunity for extra hours on away trips and busy weeks. With travel a key aspect of this role, you can expect periodic trips away to regional areas for up to three to four nights.
Accommodation, travel and meals are paid for while travelling away in accordance with company policy.
Mileage and a set travel allowance are paid each week when working in Auckland.
About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
The job involves arriving at a different Countdown each day and using a handheld scanner to accurately count stock (including fridge and freezer) and running reports to identify missing stock.
Due to the needs of the business there will be times of the year we do not have stocktake (Christmas, Easter, End of Financial Year) dueing these times the team member will be paid their 25 hours to work in their local Countdown store.

To succeed in this role you will need to have strong teamwork skills with the ability to work alongside team members of all levels. As travel is a key aspect of this role, you’ll be able to travel regularly away from home and will have strong time management skills as this role will involve early starts and flexible finishes ensuring we see our stocktakes through to completion.
