About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
This is a hands-on but also relationship-driven role and will require strong technical skills across data, analytics and insights as well as stakeholder management in order to facilitate the best business decisions for Countdown. This role is all about storytelling and bringing our stakeholders on the journey, you will translate complex technical information into simple and visually appealing presentations and reporting.
We develop analytics that connect commercial, operational, logistics, inventory and sales data to help our business make better business decisions. We crunch vast amounts of data to provide insights that deliver what is not immediately obvious to even savvy business experts. We partner with business owners in multi-functional agile teams to deliver reporting, deep dives on a given topic or a strategic presentation for a major initiative that is intuitive and easy to consume. Effective communication is vital to the success of this role.

Driving and understanding of the ‘so what’ that leads to business decisions

Pragmatic analytical angles that unlock the value of data

Source data from relevant systems such as SQL, Data Lakes, SAP

Develop and continuous improvement in data sets that enable improvement in analytical capabilities and business KPI’s

Mentor and coach more junior team members

Lead projects from beginning to end and effectively prioritise these
About You | Mōu
You should be an expert in Reporting & Post-Campaign Analytics interpretation to be able to hit the ground running from day one in this role. Leveraging your expertise across SQL, Tableau and Data Visualization tools. Understanding our customer behaviour and delivering timely, accurate and relevant data are some of the key strategic pillars in this role.
You will also come armed with

5 years + experience in Analytics and Insights delivery
-
Commercial experience ( FMCG preferred)
-
Project management
-
Experience in extracting data or integrate data sets

Experience in presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders at different levels
-
Experience in working with data analytics visualisation and workflow tools such as SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics

Having worked in a fast paced working environment
