About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
The Loyalty Promotions Manager - 1:1 Product offers will lead the strategy to deliver value to Countdown leveraging the 1:1 product offers stream within the loyalty promotions programme. This stream delivers product offers to customers based on their previous purchase behaviour and is one of the key pillars of our targeted value programme, supporting the overarching ambition to drive value for loyalty members and value into Countdown. This role is responsible for managing the allocated budget to deliver incremental sales target for the business while retaining a high customer relevancy score.
The Marketing Manager Product Loyalty Promotions will need to work collaboratively with the wider Loyalty Practice as well as a number of teams across the business including A&I, Finance, Content, CX, Finance, Commercial and external suppliers to ensure the 1:1 product stream is set up to achieve commercial objectives while balancing customer relevancy. Plans developed to deliver 1:1 product offers will leverage the use of analytics combined with:
- A deep understanding of the supermarket, CountdownX, loyalty programme and commercial objectives
- A deep understanding of purchase based targeting and direct marketing principles
- Insight into customer mindset
- Insight into loyalty programmes
- Insight into customer lifecycle marketing
- Accountable for a key streams commercial and customer results (incremental sales for Countdown and suppliers, relevancy scores, movement of Customer Value Metrics)
- Build a plan to deliver incremental sales to the business at a favourable SCR while maintaining an excellent customer relevancy score
- Build strong strategic relationships with various internal teams (A&I, Finance, Content, CX, Finance, Commercial and wider Loyalty Practice)
- Effectively manage and prioritise senior stakeholder objectives while also delivering on targeted promotion’s targets
- Consistently provide clear and relevant information to all key stakeholders
- Leverage commercial experience and analytical skill-set to communicate with key stakeholders the data / insight to deliver the primary purpose
- Understand and have experience with both financial and engagement metrics of success and performance
- Work to agreed budgets set by the Senior Marketing Manager
- Understand the importance of Loyalty OKRs to ensure that campaign execution supports these broader business goals
- Actively communicate across key stakeholder groups for consultation on proposed work and updates as impediments or campaign deployment takes place
- Ensure ROI for all activity is set, measured, shared and learnings taken forward
- Act as advocate for loyalty promotions
- Drive future vision of the program
- Support stakeholder development & education of the commercial benefits of the program
- Support the scoping and building of end-to-end solutions that will drive success for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the execution of test and learn campaign activities for a variety of direct customer offers
- Understand the capabilities of the CountdownX digital and Rewards (in particular the 1:1 stream), the marketing strategy, technological opportunities and analytical models at your disposal to then cater capabilities to meet short and long term strategic objectives
- Work with brand & other parties to define and implement go to market strategy
- Adhere to best practice continuous delivery practices, maximising customer and business value, minimising 'time to value’ and ensuring rapid learning cycles
- Partner with other teams on complex cross-tribe initiatives to deliver outcomes
About You | Mōu
We’re looking for a Loyalty Manager or Marketing Manager who works in deep in the data. Someone who can lead and act as an influential part of a business transformation whilst being on the forefront of a Data driven Marketing strategy
To be successful in this role, your background will likely reflect:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Data Driven marketing planning and operations within a large-scale organisation.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and demonstrated experience of practical implementation of Agile practices or a passion to learn and operate within an Agile environment
- Exceptional strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance measurement.
- Strong Mentorship abilities and the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with marketing technologies and tools.
