About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

We’re looking for a Quality Control Officer based in Christchurch. Firstly at T&G Fresh in Sockburn then in February 2024 moving over to our BRAND NEW state of the art Christchurch Fresh Distribution Centre (CFDC) in Rolleston, reporting to our Quality Control Team Leader.

Tuesday to saturday 6:30am to 3pm. At CFDC you may potentially have a start of around 5am.

Joining our team you’ll take accountability for all fresh produce entering the Fresh Produce Supply Chain ensuring it meets the required specifications and that the product travels through to the customer in optimum condition.

• Ensuring all fresh produce entering the Fresh Produce Supply Chain meets the required specifications
• Maintains and updates quality specifications, procedures, guides and other relevant documented materials
• Escalate issues as they arise - working as part of a greater team
• Maintain inspection records

About You | Mōu

To succeed in this role you will have hands-on produce knowledge gained in either the produce supply chain or in the retail industry. Additionally, you will be a self-starter, have a sound understanding of Produce Fresh Foods quality, people leadership and retail, along with excellent analytical and technical ability.

To be successful in this position, you will need to:

• Be passionate about food and quality
• Can demonstrate ownership and accountability
• Be adaptable; able to work independently and within a diverse team
• Show a positive "roll up your sleeves" attitude
