About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
A newly created portfolio has been created- Transformation and Accelerator Businesses and exists to bring together and drive our transformation momentum.
This new portfolio will bring together our key transformation and enablement capabilities (Strategy, Customer Insights, Analytics, Transformation, Agile & Delivery) alongside our key Accelerator Businesses (Franchise, Wholesale and Cartology) to help us all drive and deliver our strategic priorities.
As a result of this exciting change we are recruiting for a new role within our team - General Manager, Transformation. This position will report to the Director of Transformation and Accelerator Businesses, and will partner with critical stakeholders to drive our transformation. You will shape and drive our transformation priorities and OKRs to deliver value within Woolworths New Zealand and into the broader Woolworths Group. This also includes bringing together focused capabilities to effectively land transformation across WWNZ and successfully embed changes within WWNZ to realise benefits.
What you will do:

Partner with the WWNZ leadership team to shape and communicate our transformation story

Work the Strategy team and leaders to facilitate strategic planning, prioritise and shape transformation roadmap and plans

Enable the transformation by assessing and allocating the right transformation capabilities and support to key changes / initiatives

Design and orchestrate the appropriate governance and oversight to enable the transformation agenda for WWNZ

Design, mobilise and lead initiatives to deliver transformation priorities as required

Orchestrate strategic change by aligning stakeholders, addressing programmatic risk and shaping solutions in partnership with executives, leadership teams and critical stakeholders

Leverage listening and data to ensure effective solutions design and drive performance

Influence and contribute to building transformation capability
About You | Mōu
We’re looking for someone who can offer
-
Demonstrated experience leading significant enterprise-level transformational and program outcomes - ideally within fast paced, multi-workstream and highly operational environments (a retail environment is highly desired but not essential)

Deep understanding, and experience working across ecosystem business models, with the ability to navigate multiple BU’s and interconnections

Strong exposure to both traditional and agile delivery approaches

Demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships with senior management including at Executive and Group Executive level

Strong ability to think strategically and continuously explore new ways to understand and deliver on changing customer needs

Proven success influencing at all levels and managing multiple stakeholders

Experience in a similar position and a successful track record of delivering customer and team first commercial and strategic outcomes

Demonstrated purposeful leadership and an ability to inspire a diverse team through significant and ongoing transformation

Degree preferred (MBA or equivalent) and relevant industry certification
