We’re looking for a Checkout Operator to join our Countdown Paraparaumu team

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

  • Face to face customer service at checkouts

  • Manage cash and EFTPOS payments

  • Help our customers by being knowledgeable about our products and services in our store

  • Help us stick to the rules around the sale of age restricted goods, such as tobacco and alcohol

  • Assist customers through our self-service checkouts

In this customer-focused role we are looking for our new team member that

  • Understands good customer service.

  • Help us make customer first decisions aligned to our processes and systems

  • Work well within our team and communicate effectively

  • A willingness to work on your feet for the duration of your shift

  • A friendly smile and welcoming attitude

The shifts times and days for this opportunity are:

Shift 1
Monday 930-1330, Tuesday 100-1830, Thursday 1500-2100 and Sunday 1030-1430

Tuesday 0900-1730, Wednesday 1000-1800, Friday 1200-1600 and Saturday 1000-1730


Monday 1630-2030, Tuesday 1600-2000, Wednesday 1700-2100 and Saturday 1030-1430
