About the Role:
As the Member Services & Events Executive in our Professional Development team, you will play a pivotal role within our organisation, focused on enhancing the overall experience and value for members. This position is dedicated to supporting and delivering CPD-related activities, including events and services that cater to the diverse needs and interests of members. From supporting the member volunteer network, coordinating networking events and localized content delivery, to providing personalised support and resources, you will ensure that members not only feel valued but also gain tangible benefits from their membership. By fostering a strong sense of service and consistently offering quality experiences, this role contributes to the growth and satisfaction of our membership, ultimately driving the success of our organization.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating a diverse portfolio of events and CPD delivery, including conferences, seminars, webinars, workshops and social gatherings
- Plan, schedule and coordinate logistics to ensure high quality on-site or online attendee experience and produce relevant reporting
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, trainers and external vendors to ensure smooth event delivery
- Configure and manage events and courses in systems such as Cvent and our LMS, ensuring accurate set up of sessions, registration workflows, and participant communications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, in particular, relationships with the member volunteer network: Divisional Council, Committees, and other volunteers.
- Engage with members, understand their needs, and act as a primary point of contact for local inquiries (e.g., office walk-ins), feedback, and support.
About You:
You will come to us with a proven track record in planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events, including networking events, conferences, webinars, and workshops. You will also have:
- Experience in event logistics, budget management, vendor coordination and attendee engagement.
- Flexibility to coordinate and attend ‘after hours’ events
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to service members, internal stakeholders, and employers.
- Experience with professional communication practices, including face-to-face, emails, drafting customized member communications (e.g., newsletters), and member volunteer network support (e.g., Divisional Council agendas and minutes)
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate compelling messaging tailored to different member segments and external audiences.
- A qualification in a Business or Events discipline would be highly advantageous
