About the role:
Reporting to our Content Lead - New Program, you will work closely with the Content Development and Learning Design teams to ensure the creation and delivery of technically accurate, high-quality learning content for CPA Australia’s online, virtual, and workshop-based products.
You will have strong accounting knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: financial reporting, financial management, management accounting, ethics and governance, strategic management accounting, sustainability, taxation, audit and assurance, AI, digital transformation or related fields. Leveraging this expertise, you will develop, review, and maintain learning content that is current, relevant, and aligned with industry standards and emerging trends.
In addition to content development, you will engage and manage other subject matter experts and content providers, supports the management of the product lifecycle, and contributes to the implementation of new products and learning innovations in response to market and member needs. You will also collaborate with the Learning Design team to deliver key initiatives and projects as part of the Learning Evolution Program, ensuring all learning experiences meet CPA Australia’s quality and strategic objectives.
This role is an initial 12 month contract and can be based in any of our Australia or New Zealands offices.
Your day-to-day duties:
- Develop, review, and maintain technical learning content across accounting, sustainability, AI, digital transformation and related areas.
- Ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with industry standards.
- Translate complex technical concepts into accessible learning materials.
- Oversee technical review processes, assessments, and product builds in partnership with Learning Design.
- Identify, engage, and brief subject matter experts, authors, and content providers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Learning Design, Marketing, and Member Experience.
- Ensure all learning aligns with adult learning principles and internal quality standards.
- Support implementation of ISO9001 processes across learning and development.
- Champion best practice learning experiences and consistency across the product suite.
About you:
- Degree in accounting, business or related discipline (highly desirable).
- CPA/CA qualification (highly regarded).
- Practical experience in accounting, finance or aligned fields.
- Experience developing or reviewing learning content.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and communicate complex ideas.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning design practices.
- Commercial acumen, project management capability, and excellent attention to detail.
