We’re excited to announce a new chapter for our People & Culture team as we embark on a bold, future-focused three-year strategy to redefine how we support and elevate performance at CPA Australia. This is a pivotal time for us, and we've created new opportunities in our team to help us deliver on our vision and we want you to join us on this journey!

About the role:

Reporting to our Head of People Partnering, you will work closely with our Organisational Leadership Team (OLT) and people leaders to develop and implement People and Culture strategies to enable CPA Australia to deliver on our global strategy. You will understand all the strategic, tactical, and operational aspects of our organisation to offer insights, tools, and guidance to our leadership team and employees. You will lead key initiatives and support the implementation of our people strategy.

Your key duties will include:

  • Co-develop and implement People & Culture strategies and initiatives that align with our overall organisation strategy, ensuring that P&C departments effectively support organisational objectives.

  • Consult on and contribute to proactive solutions that drive business outcomes and deliver on CPA Strategy and functional business plans.

  • Provide thought leadership on People & Culture related issues, providing guidance and coaching where necessary.

  • Collaborate closely with leaders to understand the functional strategy and identify the need for restructuring or redesigning of the operating model to enable delivery of the strategy.

  • Provide advice on the design of an effective operating model and structure that aligns with the strategy and improves operational efficiency. This includes analysing current structures, proposing improvements, and designing new models as necessary.

  • Determine workforce needs and design roles and responsibilities to ensure the right talent is in place to meet business objectives.

  • Support leaders to manage talent, retention, and critical roles within the business, providing advice and guidance on best practices. As well as providing support to the TA team with key recruitment activities.

  • Effectively utilise and analyse data to provide insightful business insights that drive smart workforce solutions, helping the organisation make data-driven workforce solutions.

  • In collaboration with the Employee Relations Lead, manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to both employees and management.

  • Drive performance management, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organisation.

  • Enhance and embed the CPA Australia culture through coaching leaders and employees around cultural change and behaviour and acting as a change agent to drive agreed cultural objectives.

What you’ll bring to the team:

As an experienced and trusted business partner, you pride yourself on building strong relationships with business leaders. Your hands on approach and strategic mindset enable you to influence decision-making. You are solutions focused and enjoy supporting leaders to build out operating models that enable strategic objectives to be achieved. You thrive in a vibrant and dynamic environment with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. You enjoy using data and research to provide insights, trends and support our leaders to make informed decisions. You pride yourself on your communication and problem-solving skills.
