THE OPPORTUNITY
Take your career to new heights ! Embrace the opportunity in this recently established role as a Procurement Governance and Compliance Specialist. Your mission is to spearhead activities concerning compliance, governance, assurance, and reporting within CS Energy's procurement and supply chain sphere.
In this role, you will serve as a consultant, driving the development and execution of resilient procurement governance policies, procedures, and frameworks. Your objective is to ensure CS Energy achieves full compliance with government legislation and policy, adheres to organisational standards, meets legal mandates, and aligns with industry best practices related to procurement and supply chain management within a Queensland Government Owned Corporation.
Additionally, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Manage and maintain the online content for Procurement on CS Energy’s intranet and external webpages and will develop and maintain educational content for Procurement processes and systems.
- Facilitate education and training for procurement systems and processes across the business.
- Manage the roll-out of new tools, templates and frameworks, including all necessary communications and change management activity.
- Improve and promote core procurement processes, including driving user adoption and continuous process improvements to ensure they meet best practice risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Preparation of the Annual Modern Slavery Statement, ownership of the SOCI Critical Supplier Register, and accountability for all reports and responses to the Board, Executive Leadership Team, and state and federal governments regarding compliance of procurement and the supply chain.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Business or technical degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience in governance, assurance, compliance, or process change roles
- Proven expertise in implementing procurement governance best practices, including assessing control effectiveness and risk mitigation
- Knowledge of relevant legislation impacting procurement and supply chains of Government-owned Corporations
- Conduct compliance reviews, monitor progress, and drive remediation efforts
- Strong partnership-building skills with diverse stakeholders
- Solutions-focused and customer-centric with high adaptability
- Proficiency in Agile methods, change management, education and training delivery
