THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking qualified Electrical Tradesperson and Technician, Level 1.

As an Electrical Tradesperson/Technician Level 1 at Callide Power Station your major contribution will be becoming an integral part of the maintenance work force to ensure its outputs meet generation requirements. This position requires a flexible approach, as you are required to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is performed, and to meet contingencies as these occur. You will achieve this by working professionally with all the team members and other teams as required to meet the appropriate standards; to ensure task compliance; provide initiative; and participate actively in the activities of the maintenance team.

This is a full time, permanent position working a 4-day work week at Callide Power Station.

ABOUT YOU

Our preferred candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• A current Queensland Electrical Work License as an Electrical Fitter / Mechanic is mandatory
• Possession of Certificate 3 in Electrotechnology
• Possession of a Dual Trade in Instrumentation (for Technician, Level 1)
• Planned and preventative maintenance of electrical equipment (preferably in a heavy industry or power generation environment).
• Programmable logic controllers, instrumentation and DCS controls knowledge and experience
• Experience with electrical work within zoned hazardous areas
• High Voltage Switching experience advantageous - preparing, checking and executing switching and plant isolation programs.
