THE OPPORTUNITY
This opportunity is a 12 month fixed term contract. The Senior Compliance Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Manager Regulatory and Compliance in developing and maintaining CS Energy’s compliance strategy, framework, and program in line with industry best practice. This position is integral to fostering a strong culture of compliance and implementing monitoring and quality assurance processes to ensure continuous improvement in the performance and effectiveness of compliance activities and the overall framework.
Collaborating with and providing expert advice to all areas of the business, the Senior Compliance Specialist supports the business in embedding a risk based approach to compliance management, specifically ensuring the business effectively understands, manages, monitors and records compliance obligations in CS Energy’s Compliance Management System. The role also ensures that management addresses and reports any non-compliances or concerns appropriately in alignment with CSE frameworks and procedures. Additionally, the position supports regulatory interactions, including responding to enquiries, managing requests for information, and handling other compliance-related matters, in close coordination with the Senior Manager Regulatory and Compliance, Compliance Specialist, and internal stakeholders.
The successful candidate will bring assertiveness, a strong passion for compliance, and experience engaging with executives and cross-functional teams on complex compliance issues.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Supporting the development and delivery of the Compliance Plan for the ongoing advancement of CSE compliance maturity.
- Developing and providing training, thought leadership, industry research insights, and identification of regulatory and compliance issues and trends.
- Develop (and providing education and training)and implement and maintain measures, policies, procedures, and protocols to support effective compliance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support uplift initiatives (review and implementation of systems and technology) that enable the compliance program.
- Supporting strategic relationships and building capability across the Regulatory and Compliance team.
- Supporting in reporting on compliance activities/performance to the ELT, FRAC and/or Board.
- Supporting the delivery of the SOCI Risk Management Program including successful delivery of the Board attestations.
