THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Superintendent Mechanical, the Supervisor Maintenance – BMU will lead and support the B Station Unit team.
This key position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance activities within the unit - including boiler, turbine and mills, including air and gas, with a strong focus on meeting daily production, maintenance and business targets, and improving the execution of unplanned corrective work.
As the Supervisor Maintenance for BMU, you will work collaboratively with peer maintenance supervisors, engineers, and shift supervisors to set standards, drive improvement initiatives, maintain compliance, and coordinate all activities within your maintenance workgroup. A strong commitment to safety, process safety, and exemplary leadership will be essential to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and develop the BMU maintenance team.
- Manage the safe and efficient delivery of work orders to achieve production, maintenance and business objectives.
- Drive improved delivery of unplanned corrective maintenance work.
- Champion safety and process safety across all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with peer supervisors, engineering teams and operations to maintain standards and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, safety requirements and business processes.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor day-to-day activities of the maintenance workgroup to maximise productivity and asset reliability.
This is a permanent, full time position at Callide Power Station.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold relevant trade qualifications are essential.
- Minimum of 5 years recent heavy industry experience is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience in a heavy industrial environment is essential, preferably within the power generation industry.
- Maintenance Management and/or Business Management qualifications would be advantageous.
- Previous experience leading change management would be advantageous.
