Your high-level duties will include:
- Supporting CSIRO Energy objectives through hands-on experimental work within the CSIRO Carbon Capture Materials Centre (CCMAC), contributing directly to laboratory-based research, testing, and materials evaluation activities.
- Applying practical chemistry expertise to prepare, handle, and assess carbon capture materials, and to evaluate their performance using CCMAC laboratory infrastructure and analytical techniques.
- Conducting routine laboratory operations including chemical preparation, sample management, instrument operation, calibration support, and maintenance of key equipment.
- Managing laboratory consumables, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory environment in accordance with CSIRO safety and quality standards.
