Job Description

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced technical Graphic Designer to join our team at CSL Behring! Internally referred to as the Artwork Design Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the design and layout of labelling updates for printed packaging materials, as well as managing the lifecycle process of maintaining artwork design files. Reporting to the Team Leader, the role will suit someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and enjoys laying out printed material artwork. As the CSL Behring business is growing, there will be opportunities to contribute and manage exciting local and global projects.

The Role

• Draft and prepare artwork layouts (labels, cartons and leaflets throughout the printed materials lifecycle) in a timely manner, within specification and in accordance with requirements
• Manage change control actions and documentation updates associated with the lifecycle of the artwork item
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic records within an artwork management system and the administration/archiving of paperwork for all artwork documents where applicable
• Support local and global projects by being the artwork subject matter expert (SME), and taking the lead on coordinating and prioritising operational artwork tasks
• Manage the relationship and communication with suppliers for artwork proofs or technical artwork queries, as well as influence and manage internal stakeholders at varying levels to deliver on objectives
• Investigate and identify process gaps in the artwork process and develop opportunities for improvement of systems and the preparation/writing of work instructions
• Support locally and globally in any artwork development activities such as product launches and packaging initiatives that require artwork design layout inputs

Skills and Experience

• Exceptional attention to detail and prioritisation ability, to enable a high quality of work and compliance
• Experience in the creation and management of technical artwork using design software systems (Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign and Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Good understanding of Change Control processes, coupled with an understanding and familiarity of GxP principles and quality, is essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills, to be able to influence and work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders such as vendors
• The ability to multi-task, plan and organise workload in order to meet tight timelines
• Ability to work independently and show initiative in problem solving
• Ability to work in a project-driven and global matrix organisation, and to remain flexible and driven
• Experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical/manufacturing industry preferred but not essential)
