Ongoing Opportunities
We are looking to build our pipeline of technical and driven Aseptic Production Operators at our Parkville site in 2021. You will participate in the manufacture of Seqirus products, including human vaccines associated and not limited to Influenza Virus Vaccine, Products of National Significance and speciality R&D products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
The Role
Complete all production tasks according to GMP, QMS and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
Operation of aseptic filling equipment in a clean room environment by using aseptic processing techniques, gowning and the correct use of sterilised equipment
Prepare product contact parts and equipment to be used in the manufacturing process, such as intermediate bottles, fittings, filters and machine parts
Assemble and operate manufacturing related equipment as required, such as washing equipment, autoclaves and dry heat ovens
Routine cleaning of plant, equipment and production work areas as scheduled
Routine environmental monitoring of clean rooms and production areas as scheduled
Completing batch process sheets accurately and in real time
Perform and document in-process quality checks and batch process calculations according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements
Actively participate to improve departmental processes and procedures
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in aseptic dispensing and use of clean rooms, coupled with experience using automated machinery/equipment
Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing or health industry
Knowledge and understanding of GMP and QMS, with the ability to meet production targets and objectives
Exceptional communication and problem solving skills, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Driven to contribute to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and development, whilst being flexible and adaptable to change
Previous experience with environmental monitoring and Grade A or B qualifications will be very highly regarded
Tertiary qualification in Science or equivalent would be preferred
The successful candidates will be required to work shift work, with varied start/end times, overtime, weekend work and public holidays work when required. 12 hour shifts (varied start/end times during the day, afternoon and night) may be required. These shifts will vary according to the business requirements and may involve rotating shifts across morning, afternoon or night shifts. Availability for shift work is an inherent requirement for the role.
The successful candidate will also be required to undertake vaccination against the influenza virus.
