The Opportunity
CSL Broadmeadows have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time, Maintenance Engineer to join us within the Maintenance Services Mechanical Department.
The Maintenance Department provides essential maintenance support and innovative engineering solutions to our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
The Role
- You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Maintenance Services.
- You will provide technical advice and engineering solutions to improve machine and equipment availability and reliability
- You will investigate machine and equipment failures, determine the cause of failure, and develop permanent solutions
- Oversee daily activities of the Filling & Packaging mechanical team in the manufacturing areas. This includes supervising and co-ordinating maintenance activities during facility shutdown periods
- Ensure our preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities are performed safely
- Develop close working relationships with personnel in manufacturing, quality, engineering, and other maintenance departments and supporting functions
- Provide leadership for Filling & Packaging mechanical technicians
- Maintain training and documentation relevant to the Filling & Packaging mechanical team
Your skills and experience
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering (or other relevant discipline) from a recognised tertiary education institution
- At least 5+ years experience in the maintenance and operation of automated filling and packaging equipment or similar experience with large automated production lines
- Expertise in fault diagnosis and corrective action in a GMP pharmaceutical environment would be an advantage, but not essential
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- You have a logical/analytical approach to problem-solving and can help us deliver quality products to our patients
