The Opportunity

CSL Behring is looking for a Microbiology Quality Control (QC) Analyst to perform microbiological activities following internal and external regulatory requirements. Based at our Broadmeadows (Australia) facility, this is a permanent full-time role supporting operational activities including Bacteriology, Plate reading and Data management (result entry / authorisation of data) in LIMS.

The Role

Reporting to the QC Microbiology Team Leader, in this onsite role you will:

• Provide operational support for LIMS activities.
• Coordinate equipment/software maintenance and calibration activities.
• Provide operational support for Out of Specification, invalid, deviations and CAPAs.
• Help create change controls and complete assigned process improvement projects within the department including preparation of technical documents.
• Perform Bacteriology activities including culture maintenance, growth promotions and microbial identifications.
• Perform plate reading of environmental monitoring and bioburden samples
• Perform result entering and data authorisation into LIMS

NOTE - Flexibility with work hours as some weekend, overtime and shift-work may be required.

Your skills and experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a QC Laboratory.
• Graduate or post-graduate degree majoring in sciences or an equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Knowledge and experience in microbiological activities including bacteriology and environmental monitoring data handling
• Knowledge of and experience in the application of GMP and GLP;
• Experience in maintaining and updating records in electronic systems such as LIMS, EQMS, SAP.
• Collaborate with different business stakeholders/units.
• Capable to coordinate assigned activities to meet targets promptly.
• Potential to follow complex test procedures and work independently.
