The Opportunity

CSL Seqirus is looking for a Quality Control (QC) Specialist join the QC team in Parkville, Melbourne (Australia) on a full-time, fixed term basis until 31 December 2024. This role sits within the Q-Fever Vaccine, Antivenoms and Other Non-Influenza Vaccine Products (Non-IVV), known as the Products of National Significance (PNS) and Non-IVV functional group.

Reporting to the QC Team Leader, you will support the team to enable testing of PNS & Non-IVV product in accordance with the code of cGMP. You will embed technical know-how within the group by education and training analysts involved in sampling and assay execution.

The Role

• Support the team to ensure that the assays performed in each department are prepared and executed in accordance with the code of GMP

• Coordinate the review, update, and issue of QC documentation

• Maintain adequate documentation system

• Develop, prepare, and train QC staff in approved procedures

• Assist with investigations of Out-of-Specifications (OOS) test results, invalid assays or when unusual data is observed

• Actively seek, recommend, and implement improvements to enhance quality within the function group

• Prepare internal and external audit responses and provide regular updates on progress and timelines to the QC Team Leader

NOTE – You may be asked to undertake vaccinations for this role.

Your Skills and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in a Science discipline (preferably in Biochemistry)

• 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or quality environment

• Demonstrated experience in a quality control testing laboratory

• String technical understanding of assays/ sampling, preferably in EIA (Enzyme Immunology Assay)

• Knowledge of quality systems

• Understanding and application of GMP

• Working knowledge of LIMS

• Strong customer focus and working collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders
