The Opportunity

The Quality Control (QC) Biochemistry team at CSL Behring is looking for an experienced Analyst to join the team based at our Broadmeadows site on a full-time permanent. In this varied role, in a high-volume lab you will ensure that all biochemistry tests are carried out safely, efficiently and following approved test procedures, standard operating procedures and the code of Good Manufacturing Practice.

The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader QC Biochemistry and based on site, you will:

  • Perform routine biochemistry testing including ELISA, electrophoresis, flow cytometry, nephelometry, auto-coagulation, haemagglutination and endotoxin testing;
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained and calibrated following approved procedures, and perform troubleshooting in the case of equipment malfunction;
  • Ensure that all records are completed, signed off, entered onto LIMS, filed and archived;
  • Complete all documentation according to GDP approved procedures and processes
  • Perform tests for validation of new assays, kits and reagents;
  • Perform tests for standardisation of new and existing standards and perform tests for control analysis;
  • Participate in document management of test procedures, forms and processes;
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of the laboratory including the stock take, ordering of materials and reagents.

Your skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant scientific discipline;
  • 3+ years of laboratory experience including experience in a highly regulated environment;
  • Experience following laboratory test procedures and operating laboratory equipment;
  • Experience performing testing and activities in a high-volume lab and managing multiple timelines;
  • Experience working in a well-developed quality environment with knowledge of GLP and GMP;
  • Experience in a role requiring the resolution of everyday testing issues;
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory and/or experience performing ELISA assays will be an advantage.
