Senior Supply Chain Analyst - International Logistics
Job Description
Manages two or more sub-families or has responsibilities across multiple sub-families in the Supply and Logistics job family group.
The Opportunity
An permanent opportunity has become available for a part-time position (80%) as Senior Analyst International Logistics at CSL Behring. Hours and schedule can be flexible to include either 4 full days or 5 part days (school hours or alternative timings considered).
Reporting to the Logistics Manager – International Logistics, you will be responsible for operations across transport planning, shipping, receiving and storage activities for all CSL manufacturing sites globally.
You will partner with our freight forwarders, create required export shipping documentation, and manage the export declaration process for finished blood-products and sample shipments.
The Role
- Coordinate freight bookings with external service providers, including preparing forecasts of demand for air and sea movements requiring refrigerated systems to ensure availability at the corresponding external service providers
- Create customer-specific delivery schedules based on planning data and collaborate with Site Planning, Quality and Warehousing to ensure on-time shipments
- Create outbound delivery, billing document, export declaration and shipping documentation
- Coordinate transportation and monitor ongoing shipments - troubleshoot where needed
- Process complex temperature-controlled sample shipments (biological/hazardous) in compliance with laws, regulations, and Trade Compliance requirements and trade sanctions
- Contribute to Global Logistics projects, transport validation, product launches and monthly reporting
Your Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain; studies in Transportation, Logistics or related field or comparable education/training
- At least 3 years’ work experience in an international Supply Chain or Freight/Transport environment
- Experience of warehousing, distribution, export, and transportation
- Pharmaceutical (GMP/GDP) knowledge or Dangerous Goods training would be beneficial but not essential as training can be given
- Experience with SAP (S4 / GTS / ICS beneficial but not essential)
- Understanding that delivering live-saving medicine is a privilege and a responsibility
- Willingness to integrate into a global team
