The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join the Quality Control (QC) Support team located onsite at Parkville (Australia) on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2024. As the Team Leader QC Support you will support all the QC departments to ensure compliance actions such as CAPAs and Change control actions are completed on time. You will also participate and support QC in both internal and external audits and projects including Quality Hoshin, Parkville Exit and Transition to Banksia.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager QC Support and leading a small fun team, you will:

• Oversee the receipting and distribution of samples to meet testing timelines
• Analyse QC compliance metrics and present the information both locally and globally
• Collaborate with Facility Owners and Engineers regarding sampling and testing.
• Coordinate the return, reconciliation and destruction of samples.
• Manage deviations, present changes at Change Control Panels and attending SQUIPP meetings to investigate out of limit specifications to provide subject matter expert knowledge.
• Support ongoing continuous improvement in QC.

Your skills and experience

To be considered for this role, you have:

• A tertiary qualification, in a related scientific discipline or equivalent.
• 3 or more years' experience in high-volume pharmaceutical manufacturing laboratory or quality area.
• Understanding of GxP and ICH requirements
• Experience managing a team within a GMP environment including managing a budget.
• Experience working in a QC testing Right First Time environment including reporting of Invalids and root causes.
• Experience in a role requiring efficient and reliable service to customer for QC.
