Job Description

Reporting to the Associate Director, Medical Strategy & Operations, CSL Seqirus is recruiting for a Medical Information Associate position due to an internal promotion. As part of the Medical Information team and the wider Medical Operations and Medical Affairs Groups you will work a hybrid role (in office and work from home days).

You will facilitate the quality use of our vaccines and pharmaceutical products. This is achieved through responding to medical and scientific enquiries, from both internal and external customers, and assisting in the initial collection and reporting of adverse events.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide written and verbal medical information on products.
  • Follow pharmacovigilance requirements when reporting of adverse events.
  • Maintain the information resources required for the Medical Information function (e.g. product files, contact lists, on-line database facilities) so that they remain relevant, up to date and accessible.
  • Work with other medical and scientific personnel and maintain knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure all relevant documents are accurate and current to meet our audit requirements for the Medical Information group.
  • Provide Medical Information support during issues management situations
  • Promote the development of up-to-date Scientific Response Documents (SRDs) within Medical Affairs; ensure the scientific content of SRDs enables Medical Information to respond to questions from enquirers
  • Undertake literature searches and the collation of relevant literature for a response.
  • To work within multiple guidelines including internal SOPs, Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and Pharmacovigilance requirements
  • To provide training on Medical Information processes to new sales representatives, Medical Information consultants and other partners.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology or Biological Sciences
  • Registered Pharmacist preferred but not essential. Related experience in the pharmaceutical industry or hospitals is also considered
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Good Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Work collaboratively internally and externally, and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise and adapt to change.
