The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Biotechnology Manufacturing Facility (BMF). Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Manager Upstream Operations and based at Broadmeadows, you will perform a variety of tasks with the BMF facility to meet compliance cGXP regulations. We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable to ensure critical success in this role.

The BMF facility uses mammalian cells and DNA technology to manufacture drugs that will be used to treat life-threatening diseases. The facility works closely with Process Development, Quality, and other technical and business functions to ensure efficient and safe drug substance manufacturing processes for the production of multiple recombinant proteins.

The Role

• Ensure a safe work environment and practices as covered by Occupational Health and
• Safety Guidelines and Regulations
• Perform CIP operations
• Inspect single use equipment (bags and tubing sets)
• Operate mixers for process solution preparation
• Weigh chemicals and equipment and environmental cleaning
• Perform line clearances
• Follow all GMP requirements related to the position

Your skills and experience

• Minimum VCE qualification and/or related industry experience
• Understanding of the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice
• 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and the
• impact on process operations within the manufacturing environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple manufacturing areas
• Ability to build lateral relationships with internal stakeholders
