We are looking for a talented Electrical Workshop Technician to join our Power Generation Team in Perth.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and scheduled maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.

  • Disassemble power generation equipment.

  • Assist with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

  • Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.

  • Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues/incidents to their supervisor.

  • Effective communication and accountability.

  • Nimble learning and planning skills.

  • Commitment to health and safety.

  • Proficiency in diagnostics and electronic service tools.

  • Knowledge of power generation systems and product repair

  • Experience in service documentation and technical escalation

  • Product repair & maintenance — Performs mechanical/electrical repairs, disassembly/assembly, inspections, and progressive damage checks within standard times.

  • Service documentation — Accurately records customer, equipment, and technical data in service systems.

  • Technical escalation — Gathers issue details, uses available resources, escalates appropriately, and documents troubleshooting steps.

  • Valuing differences — Recognizes and leverages diverse perspectives and cultures.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Current relevant electrical certification

Locally valid driving permit

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Basic level field service work experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products

High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience

Customer service experience

A grade electrical License required
