DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance.

  • Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components.

  • Assist with required documentation, such as work completed forms, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms.

  • Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.

  • Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Communicates effectively: Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

  • Diagnostics Application: Translate customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plans; troubleshoot issues using guided workflows, procedures, specialized equipment, and computer software.

  • Electrical Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of Cummins and industry standards on working with low and/or high voltage.

  • Electronic Service Tool Application: Identify and utilize the appropriate electronic tool set for service events.

  • Mechanical Knowledge: Apply mechanical principles and theories using appropriate tools and procedures.

  • Product Repair and Maintenance: Repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products following guidelines.

  • Service Documentation: Create and verify customer, equipment, and technical information.

  • Technical Escalation: Obtain product technical issue information and utilize available resources.

  • Values differences: Recognize the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

  • Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimal level of workshop experience required

  • Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
