Our DEIB Strategy and Policy sets us apart as an employer of choice for diverse talent.
We are passionate about creating equitable job opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through our partnership with the Killara Foundation.
We’re continually improving our people practices. This includes our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and delivering on progressive initiatives outlined in the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), and Disability Confident employer criteria.
We are a proud member of Pride in Diversity, and in July 2023, Custom Fleet was awarded Bronze Level Certification as part of the Australian Workplace Equality (AWEI) LGBT Inclusion Awards.

Intersection – our diversity network
Our diversity network, Intersection, has a mission to foster a safe and unbiased environment for people from diverse, marginalised, underrepresented and intersectional backgrounds to grow and thrive confidently within Custom Fleet
Intersection has four streams – CulturalCONNECT, Pride, ElevateHER and capABILITY.
This network helps progress employer of choice certification initiatives for diverse talent and leads meaningful celebration and reflection for days of significance each year (National Reconciliation Week, Māori Language Week, Pride Month & International Women’s Day, Mental Health Month to name a few) so that everyone at Custom Fleet feel they belong.
As part of our Custom Crew, we’d love to see you to join our network of passionate internal activists and change makers!

Learning and Development
At Custom Fleet. our crew are encouraged to be proactive and take responsibility for their own career and development in partnership with their leader and the business. We support our crew with their professional and personal development through a range of learning initiatives including:
Green Light ![]()
In partnership with MAXme, the Green Light program delivers targeted leadership development sessions to high potential Custom Fleet women with a focus on understanding the specific challenges that women face as they advance in their careers.
Delivered over nine weeks, the program ran for the first time in 2023. Having received tremendous feedback, we look forward to launching the program for our second cohort of emerging leaders in 2024:
“As a result of this program, I have been able to focus on my strengths, which has led me to presenting an idea to my manager that I previously would have been too nervous to do.”
“I feel I’m much more self-aware, and I am starting to use the learnings, not only at work but also in my personal life.”
“The program helped me to understand that I need to use my strengths more rather than worrying about my weaknesses.”
Beyond
Delivered in partnership with the team from Neu21, BEYOND is Custom Fleet’s leading-edge, custom-made leadership program.
Delivered to leaders across the business, each module comprises of a Masterclass, workshops, and an ‘accountability circle’ to intentionally commit to the changes we want to make as leaders based on the module learnings.
Covering topics such as “Building and maintain thriving teams,” “Bringing your whole self to work” and “Leading with intention,” leaders come away with the tools and knowledge to lead their teams more effectively and empathetically.
