Salary: $150,000 – $160,000 per year

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a high-impact, standalone OHS role responsible for strengthening how safety and wellbeing is embedded across Custom Fleet in Australia & New Zealand. Sitting within the PPC team, you’ll partner closely with leaders to build capability and embed safety and wellbeing into everyday operations.
As our OHS & Wellbeing Specialist, you will own and evolve our Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS), ensuring it is practical, compliant and supports a more proactive, mature approach to risk. With an immediate focus on psychosocial safety and wellbeing, you’ll play a key role in lifting organisational maturity while ensuring strong foundations across physical safety and compliance.
Essential Duties:
Own and continuously improve the OHS Management System to meet legislative and organisational needs
Design a practical and purpose fit OHS and wellbeing roadmap enhancing existing frameworks to embed OHS into day-to-day culture and operations
Lead identification and management of physical and psychosocial risks (including emerging risks)
Oversee incident management, investigations and audits, ensuring insights drive improvement
Manage core safety programs including workers’ compensation, ergonomic programs, injury management and emergency preparedness
Other Duties:
Collaborate with PPC Partners and leaders on change initiatives to proactively manage safety and wellbeing impacts.
ABOUT YOU
You’re a pragmatic OHS professional who is comfortable working as a standalone specialist, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
You bring a strong foundation in OHS and enjoy evolving systems and practices over time, with the ability to focus on what matters most and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Strong working knowledge of Australian OHS and psychosocial health requirements (added bonus if you have exposure NZ OHS requirements)
Experience managing or significantly contributing to an OHS Management System
Proven ability to identify, understand, consult on, and implement controls and effectiveness measures for physical and psychosocial risks
Experience leading core OHS safety programs (ie. audits, injury management, workers compensation) and driving continuous improvement
Ability to partner with and influence leaders, translating requirements into practical action
