ABOUT THE ROLE
The Relationship Manager Leader is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing and developing a high-performing team of Relationship Managers.
Your focus will be on client retention, increasing share of wallet, product upsell and maintaining strong NPS performance. Leveraging your fleet expertise, you will support Relationship Managers to uncover new opportunities within their portfolios and develop winning strategies to convert opportunities into growth. This role may also include managing 1 to 2 key customer accounts.
As a people leader, you will coach, mentor and develop your team while overseeing all people-related processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, development and engagement. This Relationship Manager Leader has 4 to 8 direct reports across Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. You will ensure the team meets annual targets through strong sales, customer service and commercial discipline.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties
Lead and coach Relationship Managers to execute strategic plans that achieve growth targets across all channels.
Drive origination skills through Commercial Operating Discipline and Value Selling frameworks.
Ensure quality account plans and quarterly reviews for Tier 1 accounts; implement engagement models for Tier 2 and 3 accounts.
Manage key accounts as required and flex to support retention plays.
Achieve team targets for vehicles under management, volume and revenue.
Promote a winning, innovative sales culture and encourage AI adoption.
Collaborate with internal teams (FPS, Risk, Pricing) to deliver optimal client solutions.
Maintain compliance with service level agreements and regulatory requirements.
Other Duties
Contribute to communication initiatives that celebrate wins and foster engagement.
Drive proactive client engagement to support NPS targets.
Champion Custom Fleet values and CX attributes through performance management processes.

Your ability to think strategically, solve complex problems and communicate effectively at all levels sets you apart. You embrace change, promote collaboration, and create a culture of accountability and customer centricity.

Strong financial acumen and ability to engage at CFO level.
Excellent influencing skills.
Expertise in deal structuring, lead generation and strategic planning.
High attention to detail and strong process orientation.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience leveraging AI tools or digital solutions to enhance sales performance.
Education & Experience
Essential
Degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3 years as a Relationship Manager in a B2B environment.
Proven success in leading sales teams and technical knowledge of fleet solutions.
Other
Advanced in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
