The Opportunity
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will:
Oversee the progress of civil construction works to ensure compliance with design, regulations, and codes of practice.
Ensure OH&S standards are met, identifying and reporting any non-conformances.
Analyse and resolve issues with compliance to plans and specifications, recommending alternative approaches as required.
Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, providing clear and practical feedback.
Negotiate confidently with contractors and suppliers to resolve disputes around quality, cost, or scheduling.
Maintain accurate project documentation at all times, ensuring all final compliance documentation is processed.
Mentor and support less experienced staff, sharing your expertise to develop their skills.

About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Diploma in Engineering
MRWA accreditation (South East Water, Yarra Valley Water, Greater Western Water, Barwon Water) or be an immediate candidate for accreditation
Demonstrated experience in land development projects
Strong knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and testing
Good knowledge of applicable specifications and standards
Proven experience in civil engineering with established safety, quality, and environmental management processes
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
