The Opportunity
As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of intermediate to complex civil engineering projects, contributing strong technical capability and sound engineering judgement across the design lifecycle.
Working closely with Project Managers and senior engineers, you will be responsible for producing and verifying high-quality design outputs, supporting design programs, and engaging with clients and authorities to achieve successful project outcomes.
You will:
- Undertake detailed civil design and master planning across land development, infrastructure and sport projects
- Prepare and verify plans, reports, and modelling outputs to ensure compliance with relevant standards, authority requirements, and DCE quality systems
- Plan and manage your design tasks to meet project program, budget, and quality requirements
- Provide technical input and guidance to designers and junior engineers as required
- Contribute to design reviews, technical workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and approving authorities
- Represent DCE professionally in meetings and project forums
About You (Skills, Experience & Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
- Hold a current construction industry White Card
- Circa 3+ years of experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD [efficient use of blocks and xrefs / layer management]
- Confident 12d design skills [snippets / modifiers / drainage and model management]
- Experience across all aspects of subdivision design (residential, commercial, industrial)
- Experience in design for multiple municipalities and service authorities
- Strong initiative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Developing peer review skills
- Permanent permission to work in Australia
