Project Maia Overview: Project Maia is an enablement initiative with AWS to dramatically increase Deloitte fluency in AWS technology, leading to increased sales and delivery of AWS engagements. The program aims to train 50,000 Deloitte practitioners globally on key AWS certifications across a broad range of expertise levels and topics. Key training campaigns focus on Cloud awareness as well as Application Migration and Modernisation, and Data Modernization Analytics and Cognitive skills. Project Maia is continuously scaling to include higher volumes of learners and improve internal operations.
Work You’ll Do
The APJ Training, Certifications & Development Managerwill have a breadth of responsibilities including:
- Relationship Management – Establish, manage, and support a meeting cadence to foster strong relationships between Deloitte and AWS. Work with Deloitte and AWS leaders to understand key criteria and KPI’s for the program and keep management apprised of the health of the relationship. Keep our alliance counterparts up to date regarding everything we are doing to drive revenue and enhance the relationship.
- Project Operations – Act as the PMO leader of the program:
- Maintain the strategic training and certification plan, coordinating with the Deloitte Lead Alliance Partners and integrating with our Learning and Development strategy in Australia. This includes coordinating with the AWS Alliance Director to ensure that program goals and strategies are in line with broader alliance initiatives and business planning, as well as keeping an up-to-date view of the business plan and tracking against the financial goals for the program.
- Understand and articulate the full impact of the program on Deloitte’s business, including revenue and capability depth through increased certification.
- Manage the program’s APJ budget, working closely with Leadership to ensure training strategies and dollars available are aligned, including purchasing and distribution of the Learning and Development Exam Voucher Budget.
- Manage Inter Firm agreements, new Member Firm onboarding and PMO support and enablement across APJ
- Ensure that program requirements are met, and all APJ participants are abiding by the terms of the program established in the Master Services Agreement
- Manage streamlining of key processes and training initiatives, including automation of reporting of certifications, pipeline and asset development, as well as key communication processes
- Establish and maintain clear and consistent program reporting and monthly invoicing
- Support key program meetings, including global quarterly business reviews (QBRs), Bi-monthly Global WIPs and weekly project teams meetings between global and AWS
- Pipeline Tracking, Validation & Reporting – Maintain an accurate sales pipeline for the project, aligning opportunities and closed deals to Deloitte Leadership who have participated in Project Maia. Own and drive all aspects of operational reporting including wins, pipeline, qualifications, awards and any other metrics important to the program.
- Program Communications & Knowledge Management – Manage all aspects of program communications, in close collaboration with AWS and your global counterparts, where appropriate. These initiatives include PPD Roadshows and Drop-in sessions. Ensure that key messages, program changes, program requirements, new certification opportunities and more are communicated to the extended team
- Marketing – Execute the marketing plan that supports the program business objectives and drives more learners to achieve more advanced certifications. This includes leading the learner incentives program, working with AWS to book the calendar of bootcamps and third-party training required and integrating these activities with Deloitte Cloud Guild. Also work with the Global Project Maia team to keep all collateral, learning pathways and program content up to date.
- Team Leadership – Lead the PMO consultant and Lead Alliances partners / directors to efficiently and effectively deliver against the strategic priorities of the program. Lead discussions in QBR’s and the Annual Program Business Planning/Reviews.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in operations, project management, as well as experience in managing Learning and Development Programs. This includes the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Minimum of 5 years in project management related experience
- Advanced project management skills and experience working in or with System Integrators, such as Deloitte
- An understanding of AWS and the cloud landscape would be ideal
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, global, matrixed environment
- Ability to understand and articulate value propositions for alliance products
- Ability to demonstrate experience building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to advise multiple stakeholders, often at senior levels of the firm, with a consultative mindset
- Strong aptitude and passion for driving operational detail and market impact, with the ability to translate this information into business, sales and talent opportunities
- Sound teaming, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Strong command Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and ability to produce deliverables that carry a “stamp of excellence”:
- In Excel, aggregate data, conduct complex analysis and display results visually
- In PowerPoint, translate data into insights and tell a logically structured, succinct, and compelling story tailored to your audience; convey clear and easily actionable recommendations
- In Word, create clear, concise communications with a user-friendly layout conducive to cognition.
