What will your typical day look like?

In this role, as a Strategy and Operations Manager, you will engage directly with high profile public and private sector clients on their most important and challenging business issues - addressing and solving their priority asset and operational related problems. You will also:

• Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to helping our clients develop more resilient business models, and build the capability to be more successful
• Work on some of the most inspiring public sector programs across Defence, Industry and Energy and Resources
• Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in structured problem solving, design thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, Deloitte Access Economics and experience from our global consulting network
• Undertake operations, transformation focused training and the ability to work with government and business to develop their strategic capability, with the opportunity to experience borderless careers through international assignments and secondments

In response to strong client demand for our services, we are searching for a Manager with superior stakeholder management skills and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with our people and clients. Ideally you will have experience in:

• Consulting, government, defence, or a large complex organisation
• Program management, program design and governance
• Designing, facilitating and leading meetings and workshops
• Developing high quality proposal documents and tender responses
• You may also have experience in consulting, and leading a team of consultants to deliver exceptional and impactful client outcomes
• Dealing with and effectively engaging with clients at all levels (or evidence of working across broad stakeholder groups in your previous roles)
• Have or be eligible for AGSVA baseline clearance and/or AGSVA NV1 security clearance

You are someone with:

• A desire to do work that matters, has purpose and impact
• Strong working knowledge of program management and aligning delivery of your objectives to tangible outcomes
• At least 5-7 years’ professional experience in either management consulting, government service delivery or corporate/ industry environment
• Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients
• Strong and adaptable facilitation and communications skills
• Experience conducting analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents etc.) and synthesising into digestible outputs (e.g. reports)
• Curiosity to learn and proactivity to bring forward ideas
• Experience leading in large scale projects or programs of work, including managing senior relationships.
