About the job
Our clients are increasingly investing in digitisation, simplification and modernisation, through business transformation initiatives such as Digital, Core Operations, Finance and Data. To meet this demand, we are growing our cloud data management team (an end to end offering including data management, data migration, data quality, data cleansing and data assurance to support these wider transformation initiatives) and are looking for a passionate data migration specialists. If you consider yourselves as a roll-up-your-sleeves data technologist, this role is for you. In this role you will be a key member in shaping, designing and delivering cloud data migration programs, while playing vital role in building the cloud data management practice.
You will have an opportunity to play multiple roles across a career trajectory ranging from strategy / planning, solution architecture, data management, data engineering, functional to technology alignment, business/stakeholder engagement and delivery management.
You are someone with:
- Experience in leading / executing data migration workstreams
- Experience in designing, planning and managing data migration and assurances processes from legacy systems to next generation cloud based platforms (e.g. ERP, CRM, Finance)
- Experience in creating key data migration products, including data migration strategies, specification, data governance processes, data profiling & quality processes, testing & reconciliation frameworks
- Experience in assessing and identifying data migration impacts across other workstreams within a business transformation program
- Experience in data migration patterns (e.g. structured / unstructured)
- Experience with data engineering, data quality, data cleansing activities
- Experience of different delivery methodologies (Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall) across the project lifecycle (planning, discovery, implementation, go-live)
- Managing and developing high performing virtual teams
- Managing projects with demonstrated business impact from scoping trhough deployment
- Managing and communicating with a range of diverse stakeholders
Technical skills
- Data Engineering / ETL / Data Quality / Data Profiling skills with leading integration tools (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Informatica, Talend, Experian)
- Experience in working with SQL databases
- Cloud Data Management technical solutioning experience.
- Experience deploying technical solutions into production environments
- Experience with cloud services (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
- Windows and Linux environments
- Knowledge of various integration patterns
- SQL and relational databases
Bonus knowledge
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience in or exposure to one or more data management disciplines such as, data governance, MDM, BI, reporting, data lakes, big data, cloud ecosystems
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, SAP, Workday (in the context of data migration)
- AWS / Azure / GCP cloud platform experience
- Understanding of latest data landscape & trends
- Experience in training & building technical teams
- Cloud certifications are highly regarded
You will typically be part of or responsible for leading a data migration workstream on a large client project. You will need a range of skills from interviewing client stakeholders, capturing business problem statements, leading client workshops, designing, building and implementing data migration solutions, and communicating the impact of your results to your clients. As you grow, you will take up more senior level responsibilities across solutions, client relationships and business development, and coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.
