We are looking for a Senior Consultant to work alongside our team of problem solvers, innovators, strategists and impact measurement specialists.
About the Team
Deloitte Australia’s Social Impact Consulting Practice is a dedicated practice that supports social sector organisations, government agencies and corporates to deliver greater social impact aligned to their vision and mission.
We work with organisations from across sectors, and of varying size and geographic dispersion with deep expertise in disability, homelessness, family & children and aged care sectors and services.
Our experience and services span the full breadth of:
- Strategy (Strategic planning, Service model design, Business model innovation),
- Transformation (Transformation program management, Digital transformation),
- Operational Excellence (Operating Model design and implementation, Financial sustainability, Capacity building), and,
- Social Impact and ESG (Social Impact strategy design, Impact Measurement design and evaluation).

What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant in the Deloitte Social Impact Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of exciting projects, and work with collegiate, highly skilled and supportive teammates. You will work on strategically important projects and deliver exceptional client service to some of Australia’s largest and most iconic clients – helping them solve social impact challenges that truly matter to their organisation.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Undertaking desktop research, gathering data and undertaking quantitative analyses
- Determining findings and developing insightful content for client deliverables
- Presenting conclusions and recommendations to project team members
- Working directly with clients to execute strategies, implement change and manage programs within larger business transformations
- Taking ownership of deliverables, improving documentation and output, and supporting Analysts and graduates to learn and grow
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to play a role in supporting the growth of the Deloitte Social Impact Consulting Team, with responsibilities including:
- Supporting the development of market eminence through development of thought leadership and client events
- Support the development of internal social impact focused firm networks and initiatives (global and national)
As a member of the broader Deloitte Climate and Sustainability Team you will also gain exposure and experience opportunities to support the Firm’s effort to strengthen the global response to the climate transition.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
As a Senior Consultant – Social Impact Consulting team, you will be considered a safe pair of hands who can deliver solutions to complex problems as part of a team.
You are someone with:
- A strong interest and/or strong experience in social impact fields and working with social sector organisations
- 3- 5 years of strong consulting or problem-solving experience within a professional services / consulting firm, a commercial, start-up, or not-for-profit organisation
- Fundamental project management skills in scoping, designing, and planning projects
- Experience delivering consulting projects end-to-end, that deliver high quality deliverables / outcomes to our clients, on time and within budget
- Experience conducting exceptional analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents, interviewing etc.) and synthesising into impactful outputs (e.g. reports)
- The ability to build and lead teams, and coach junior practitioners and building strong client relationships
- Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients
- Strong facilitation skills that are adaptable to different situations and communications styles
- Experience with creating business development materials
- Curiosity to learn and proactivity to bring forward ideas
- An understanding of the end-to-end sales process, and lead subsections of proposals and go-to-market initiatives internally.

The minimum salary requirement is $100,000 inclusive of the minimum superannuation contribution.
