About the job

Our Data & AI practice brings the full suite of services that focus on applying intelligence across the entire data, analytics, automation, and AI value chain. This means bringing together expertise across business analysis, data engineering, data management, AI/ML data science, data architecture and data visualisation. 

As a Senior Manager or Director in our team, focussing on Advanced Modelling and ML, you will work closely with your project team and clients to deeply understand their business challenges and oversee the delivery of next generation solutions using leading data and analytics tools.

You will be mentoring, coaching, growing and inspiring your team members to follow leading practices and demonstrate delivery excellence. You will work closely with our practice and alliance leads to develop and grow our practice through a relentless focus on building relationships with our clients, truly understanding their needs, and exceeding delivery expectations.

You will continuously be supported by senior leaders across the practice on projects and throughout your career growth at Deloitte.

You will enhance your delivery skills through project leadership roles, building deep, impactful relationships with our clients, and ensuring we work effectively to support managing the delivery of exceptional outcomes from the solution design through to the delivery of technical. You will be challenged to guide or design solutions for real problems that span a range of industries, including; Transport, Energy & Resources, Public Sector, Life Sciences & Healthcare, and FSI. You will lead and inspire a team that leverages a variety of analytics techniques (e.g., data engineering, machine learning), programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and open-source technology (e.g., GraphQL, Julia etc.) to develop meaningful solutions to our client’s challenges

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • At least 7 years’ experience operating in advanced data and analytics environments , including team leadership and client relationship management roles
  • A proven track record of managing and communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience connecting delivery outputs to meaningful business impact from scoping through deployment
  • Experience leading and developing high- performing and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience leading teams with data engineering, feature engineering and/or model development using advanced modelling techniques (e.g., AI/ML)
  • Experience leading teams responsible for deploying advanced modelling solutions into production environments.

As a Senior Manager or Director, you will typically be responsible for leading Delivery on a large client project. You will develop a range of skills from interviewing client stakeholders, capturing business problem statements, leading client workshops, designing, building and implementing advanced analytics solutions, and clearly communicating results to clients in a clear, structured and impactful way. In addition, you will also support and have responsibility for managing and nurturing client relationships, ensuring we are connected a responsive to client needs and continue to deliver to expectations
