What will your typical day look like?

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Manager/Director to shape, build and grow the Smart Factory offering in this market. You will lead and develop significant engagements with high profile public and private sector to reach their true potential on their most important and challenging issues. Addressing climate and sustainability obligations to build a better Australia will be at the heart of the solutions. You will also:

  • Build, develop and lead a cross functional high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence
  • Draw on Deloitte’s world class global and innovative capabilities in Smart Factory, MES, IoT and Data Analytics, to gain insight and knowledge from our global consulting network of experts.
  • Leverage Deloitte’s and your network to build relationships with senior clients and convey our Smart Factory offering
  • Allow your entrepreneurial mind to build the team, while winning and delivering exciting projects.
  • Lead some of the most visible and important nation-building Smart Factory programs across multiple government and private sector areas.

About the team

Sitting within our Innovation & Industrial Redesign (I2R) team, we are looking to establish a Smart Factory practice that will utilise the latest innovations in manufacturing to create, define and revolutionise manufacturing in Australia. Leveraging off our global success in this field, the team will complement our existing Australian stack in Data, AI and Cyber, to deliver world class solutions that help our clients drive performance across their entire business. Deloitte’s Smart Factory offering is an exciting, growing and highly visible area that suits innovative, bright and curious minds.

In response to strong client demand for our services, we have multiple leadership roles available for outstanding Smart Factory practitioners.

You are someone with:

  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling arguments at executive and working level
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with a range of clients by bridging deep technology intricacies with your business acumen and significant experience in manufacturing with exposure to Smart Factory/Manufacturing, automation, MES, IoT and associated technologies
  • Experience leading complex Smart Factory projects, including managing senior relationships within top listed organisations
  • Curiosity to learn about the latest technology advancements and proactively proposing innovative ideas to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated market making capability, especially around your ability to shape deals that benefit our clients
  • Experience in Food & Beverage, Agriculture or Defence would be advantageous
  • Highly developed problem solving and project delivery skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize building a team, winning work and delivering to clients
  • Enthusiasm for emissions reduction, nation building and industrial redesign
