Indirect Senior Manager
About the team
The Deloitte Indirect Tax group focuses on improving the transactional and trading environment of business. As part of our Indirect Tax team, you’ll provide consulting advice and compliance expertise to clients for a wide range of indirect taxes, including goods and services tax (GST), and fuel tax credits.
Advise a range of clients, from government bodies, energy and resources clients, property developers, the aged care industry, the mining services industry and financial services providers.
Indirect tax is a hot topic for many businesses, because efficiency in this area can make a difference of millions to the bottom line.
This role is responsible for providing support to Partners, Directors, Senior Managers and Managers in delivery of client service, and managing client relations on a day to day basis.
What will your typical day look like?
You will provide indirect tax advice, compliance and consultancy services across a range of indirect tax matters including M&A, corporate restructuring, property developments, cross border issues and managing ATO reviews and queries.
As a Senior Manager, you will manage and mentor a small team as well as support and help drive business development initiatives. This role will also see you assist in billing and controlling of Work In Progress, adhering to budget and deadline constraints as well as manage clients and ledgers.

You are someone with:
- A degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Law and be CA qualified
- Experience working in a top-tier or mid-tier accounting or legal firm or the ATO
- Experience in managing a small team -
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and with a high attention to detail you will draw on your corporate and commercial experience to think strategically to achieve the firm’s objectives and build strong relationships.

- Post-qualification indirect tax experience
