What will your typical day look like?
As a manager in our specialist healthcare consulting team, you will lead a team of Deloitte’s brightest minds to analyse clients’ needs and requirements for transforming their financial and operational performance; developing operational and financial improvement strategies through organisational redesign, working with organisations to develop effective business partnering capability; Design and embed end-to-end process improvements to enhance client / patient experience, improve efficiency and productivity and/or reduce costs; Leverage your superb interpersonal skills and remarkable business sense to support the wider team in business development.

About the team

Our high-performing and collaborative team offers specialist advice to the health and human services sector to enable and optimise our clients’ strategies, ensuring that they are aligned with the organisation’s long-term goals. We have a passion for translating data and evidence into meaningful insights and primarily seek to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of organisations at all stages of their growth from designing the change required, to delivering and managing that change and providing assurance around change initiatives.

You will be an integral part of a leading healthcare consultancy practice in Australia, and generate real insights to help deliver value to our clients.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You are someone with:

  • CA/CPA qualified with at least five years’ experience post qualification
  • The skills and experience to critically appraise, generate, analyse, collate and distil disparate data and evidence (both quantitative, including financial and numerical, and qualitative) into concise and compelling messages that influence change
  • strategic problem solving, creative analysis, critical thinking and storytelling/communication skills, and be able to work well with senior stakeholders and internal teams
  • the skills and experience to critically appraise, generate, analyse, collate and distil disparate data and evidence (both quantitative, including financial and numerical, and qualitative) into concise and compelling messages that influence change
  • Experience leading or mentoring small teams
  • Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings


Professional experience in a consulting environment is preferred but solid Health finance experience is also advantageous.

Knowledge of the Australian health system, funding arrangements, activity-based costing and / or hospital financial systems and structures would be advantageous for this role.
